I Want You (So Bad) - Clive Tanaka y su orquesta

I originally came across Clive Tanaka’s work by hearing the track Neu Chicago — which is an excellent track on its own and a great example of how calypso and chillwave can come together to encapsulate lazy summers in a 4:00 pill. Whiskeyinfusion just called this track to my attention though, which as he points out sounds so uncannily like Daft Punk that you might speculate this is a skunk works side project of the famous french duo.  Unfortunately little is known about the artist and the mystery of it all is building a fair amount of buzz. Whatever the situation is though, it’s a smart strategy to maintain in the exploding world of online music promotion. J. J. Abrams would certainly be proud and I wouldn’t be surprised if others try to take the same route later down the road.
